Science can be inherently beautiful, and even when it isn’t, humans have the ability to make it so. Case in point: this week’s Yale Environment 360 features a set of 3-D LiDAR images of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. The images are color-coded according to physical, chemical, and optical properties of the forest and will be used to improve local conservation efforts.
